Delete vs. Expunge

Delete/Bulk Delete

The delete actions perform soft deletes where the deleted items are still viewable (displayed in red italics on the home page), but no user actions can be performed on them (e.g. - a user can no longer request them). Bulk Delete is used for deleting multiple items at once. Deleted items can be restored using the Undelete and Bulk Undelete options.

Expunge/Bulk Expunge

Expunging an item completely removes it from the application and is irreversible. An expunge action is retained in Gimmal Physical’s audit trail and record history. Bulk Expunge is used for expunging multiple items at once.
