Destruction Certificates
Gimmal Records can provide basic destruction certificates with a few simple settings:
For each Record Class you want to create destruction certificates for, change the record class property Destruction Certificates to Yes.
The lifecycle attached to the record class must require approval in its final phase.
These destruction certificates are generated for each unique combination of approver/record class/disposition date - i.e. Two people approving dispositions for the same record class on the same day would generate two different certificates.
The destruction certificate is created AFTER the deletion of the item from its repository. After the connector’s retention job has processed the final disposition action (which successfully deletes the document from its repository), a "success" event is then reported back to Gimmal Records. When that event is received, the pending action item is completed, and Gimmal Records generates the destruction certificate.
