What are the Current, Home, and Hub Locations?

In the Gimmal Physical application, there are three location designations for a physical item: Current, Home, and Hub.

• Current Location: where an item is located right now, e.g. - Checked out to a user.

• Home Location: where the item is located when not in circulation, e.g. - Box 5 in Area 1, Row 3, Bay 5, Shelf 1. Can be the same as its Current location.

• Hub Location: Can consist of multiple Areas/Rooms/etc. that exist in the same “geographical” location, e.g. - Downtown Office and Campus 1 might be two hubs for a company. This designation is not often used and is disabled by default.
