Gimmal Records Advisory: IPRM Retirement

Microsoft recently announced that In Place Records Management features will be fully deprecated in April of 2026. This retirement will have an impact for Gimmal Records Lock and Unlock functionality when using the SharePoint Online Connector.

Gimmal has plans in place to address this feature retirement as part of this year’s Roadmap for Gimmal Records. In the coming weeks we will update this page and provide direct communications regarding Gimmal’s solution for the depreciation of the In Place Record Management features. We will provide clarifications for any changes that will be required to keep the Lock/Unlock functionality working in your SharePoint Online Environment.
